Injuries / Special Populations
Programs are prescribed and implemented for client’s with controlled cardiovascular, pulmonary, metabolic, and other clinical populations, and Nature’s Alignment works closely with the client’s healthcare providers, as needed. Physiology and pathophysiology of diseases (e.g. cardiovascular disease, arthritis, diabetes mellitus, dyslipidemia, hypertension, metabolic syndrome, musculoskeletal injuries (spinal injuries, joint pain, postural imbalances, muscle imbalances, alignment issues, etc.), overweight and obesity, osteoporosis, artery disease, pulmonary disease) are closely monitored to maintain, reduce, and possibly reverse signs, symptoms, and discomfort of the presenting disease and/or disorder. Programs and specific movements are chosen to correct imbalances and dysfunction of an injury or origin of pain. Benefits include increased flexibility, increased muscle activation, increased joint stability, improvement in neuromuscular efficacy (coordination), reduced risk of injury, improvement in movement patterns, increased ability to recover, prepares the body for higher intensity exercise, prepares the body for optimal performance, corrects muscle imbalances, lowers the risk of disease/disorder, and safely monitors presenting problem while exercising.
Athletic Conditioning
Experience with athletes ranging from youth to professional in: soccer, golf, tennis, baseball, softball, track/cross country, dance, and ballet. Nature’s Alignment focuses on the physiological and mental basis of components related to physical fitness, athletic conditioning, and sport specific training. The focus in athletic conditioning is physiological changes associated with exercise and the physiologic adaptation following training. The program includes agility, balance, coordination, reaction time, speed, and power, all incorporated in the sessions warm-up, myofascial release/flexibility, conditioning or sport related exercise, and cool-down. Nature’s Alignment observes each individual’s unique movement patterns and specifies the program to train the different energy systems and how they perform in exercise, all with the focus on biomechanical principles of human movement.
Myofascial Release + Stretching
Myofascial release is a safe and effective technique that involves applying pressure into myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. Fascia is a thin, tough elastic type of connective tissue that wraps most structures within the human body, including muscles. Myofascial release eases muscle pain, increases range of motion, reduces appearance of cellulite, relieves muscle tension, and reduces joint pain. This is useful for treating skeletal muscle immobility and pain by relaxing contracted muscles, improves blood, oxygen, and lymphatic circulation, and stimulates the stretch reflex in muscles.
Stretching improves everyday function as well as athletic performance. Flexibility tends to diminish as we get older, unless maintained with regular stretching exercises. It also increases blood flow (circulation) to your muscles and rids waste byproducts in muscle tissue. Stretching relaxes tight tense muscles that often accompany stress. Stretching can help your muscles from becoming tight, allowing the body to maintain proper posture. Stretching helps maintain full range of motion through the joints, which keeps the body in better balance and helps the body work more efficiently for enhanced performance.

It all begins with intention.
All you need is your mind, body and spirit.
